The Killer Zone

John jr, a 3rd generation butcher, has been busy cutting Porterhouse Steaks.  It seems a lot of hungry people want to grill out this weekend.

Roadfood.com highlights “great regional meals along highways, in small towns and in city neighborhoods”. Today, they listed our Killer Tenderloins as the “Roadfood of the Day”!

Recently CareerCast created a list of “The 10 Worst Jobs in the United States” and we discovered butchers were ranked #9.  Not only were butchers ranked #9, John jr was pictured in the list.  CareerCast used “fewer employment opportunities, high stress and poor work conditions” as some of the characteristics of the worst jobs in the United States.

10 Jobs the US Needs

We looked at the list and quickly realized the United States would be a scary place without any of these jobs.  Just losing the military alone can lead to Americans losing their freedoms.  But, add to it the loss of the dairy farmer and the butcher (even the wait staff and dishwasher) and now Americans are finding it more difficult to eat.  Take away the oil rig worker and the meter reader and we have no power to light our homes or fuel for our vehicles.  Lumberjacks disappear and now our homes, furniture, and more dissappear.  How many of us would go insane if we didn’t have the information provided by broadcasters and newspaper reporters?

Scary thought, isn’t it?

Today is our mom’s birthday!  As we count our blessings, we can’t help but think of her.   We learned that you don’t have to worry about how many Killer Sandwiches you eat as long as you have a loving mother to look after you!

The Ruby and Rehan families made the trip from Burleson, Texas to put away a few Killer Sandwiches at B&B Grocery, Meat & Deli in Des Moines, Iowa.  We are positive we successfully killed some Texas size appetites with our Killer Sandwiches.
